bloggin after a loooooooong time... so i'm havin trouble in puttin my thoughts together...there are so many things that i want to share...so many things happened in past 18 months..
...hhhmmm...I left Ahmedabad and was in Pune for the last 18 months..working there with Bank of New York and Mellon in operations.. but this one statement does not summarize my stay there...
Pune..I went there for I thought of takin a break n wanted to live on my own..independently..no hostel..no parents..nothing..i gotta job there pretty soon..and then shifted into a flat wid a frend..
and here's from where my journey begins....being on one own isnt easy , especially when u r earnin , u cant luk back at ur parents everytime u need money..u gotta manage ur life financially on ur own..u dont get food served on the table wen u come back from work..n no bed tea either..wen u r not well..u hav to get urself checked..take a rick..find a gud doc n get ur self xamined..take medicines n necessary precautions..search for a gud maid..negotiate wid her...n maintain a diary of all important phone numbers.... I know..all this sounds simple and sumthin we all mus b doin..but the difference for me was that - i dint know d language..d place..i wasnt used to takin care of such minute details and that was d best part...
I liked my job...the work place..office..people and all..one gets used to comfort easily n so did I..since I was with a Canadian process , initially I did night shift and then day shift..it was fun..especially fridays..we cud wear casuals...and we had some fun activity goin on there...was on very gud terms with my team leaders , which was also a cause of discomfort for some ;) ...
we had a guitarist Craig , a grown up kid Sesha , Calm as sea was Sree and Nikhat was thunderous and stormy...Meekha was "lost n found" and Hemant was d local Tom Cruise..Ahrar was my partner in crime and Girish was hardwork personified...Mayukh was a "patient" worker and Abhijit...was d Rahul Dravid of d team..would not talk about higher management..was never in their gud buks .. nor were they in mine ;)
made great frenz at work.. n hangin out wid them was sooooooooo much fun... my professional life in Pune was much better and stable than the previous one...I learnt how to switch off my mind from office stuff the moment I used to step out ... n plus , I had a busy social life that kept my mind at peace..so no work related hassles..also , I gave it back to people instead of feelin bad abt nethin..wud jus blast off..feel gud..n then smile again..!!
I jus loved every bit of my life there...loved shoppin...freakin out..n there were days when I wud jus lie on the couch..watch TV..order pizza..n laze around...mmmmmmm...laziness is truly missed..
and there wud b a month after every few months when I wud get to be wid Avinash which wud make me realise how fast can time fly :( I like d city - Pune.. its not that crowded...young n lively..its known as the city of retired people and also of young minds..so one can clearly feel d pulsatin calmness in the air .. contradictory eh?? and you do not hav to walk too fast to b in sync with others..create your own rhythm n pace ;)
m home..( i know m repeatin this ;) n m lovin bein here... :)
